Sarah Randall BvetMed CertEP MRCVS

Sarah has been in equine practice since graduating from The Royal Veterinary College in 1992. She earned her RCVS Certification as an Equine Practitioner in 1998 and has a special interest in competition horses, lameness and poor performance examinations. Sarah is based in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. She spends much of her time at the clinic, but travels widely for vet for purchase examinations and sports horse lameness investigations. Sarah will always find time to visit clients in all areas when requested.

Robert Oulton BSc (Agr) DVM MRCVS

Robert graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College, Canada in 2002. He worked at the large 40 vet Hagyard Veterinary Practice in Lexington, Kentucky, where he specialised in breeding and neonatal care. Robert is our Head Stud Vet and runs our AI services.  Robert is based in Holmer Green, High Wycombe and covers our central and northern area.

Gavin Hammer

Gavin Hamer BVetMed GPCert (EqP) MRCVS  

Gavin graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and worked for a number of years in equine practice before joining us in 2007. He is the Bury Farm practice principal veterinary surgeon.  Gavin holds the European School of Veterinary Post Graduate Studies Specialisation in Equine Practice. He has a particular interest in lameness investigations, stud work, dentistry, pre purchase examinations and surgery. Gavin lives in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and covers our central and eastern areas.

katie gray

Katie Gray BSc BVMS MRCVS 

Katie graduated from the University of Glasgow and initially worked in equine practice in Kent, she then undertook an internship at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh where she obtained specialist training in stud medicine.  On leaving Edinburgh Katie travelled to Australia to work at Veresdale Equine Veterinary Hospital where she practiced stud medicine.  Katie joined the Chiltern Equine Clinic in the Summer of 2009 she is a valuable addition to our stud medicine team and also provides in patient care within the hospital.  Katie lives in High Wycombe and covers our central area.

Francesca Compostella DVM MRCVS

Following a period in private practice, Fran undertook an internship at the Royal School of Veterinary studies in Edinburgh. In 2008 she moved to a private practice which mainly focused on race horses on the Curragh (Ireland). She has recently completed her Equine Surgery Residency program at the University of  Bristol.

Gemma Tyner BVSc MRCVS

Gemma will be providing specialist services in internal medicine. She started her career in equine practice in Somerset. She then undertook an internship at Ohio State University in critical care followed by an internship at Scone Equine Hospital from there she completed a residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Equine Medicine.

Mattias Rettig VetMed MRCVS

Matt joins us from Rossdale's in Newmarket where he has spent the last 18 months working with the diagnostic and surgical team where he has gained a specialist interest in sport horses and lameness diagnosis. Prior to working at Rossdales he undertook an internship at Rood and Riddle equine hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Angela graduated from Bristol University Veterinary School and has been working in specialist equine practice at Cotts Farm Equine Hospital in Pembrokeshire where she developed a particular interest in performance horses, anaesthesia and internal medicine. Angela lives in Amersham covers and our central area.

Kayleigh Barker BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Kayleigh has been in equine practice since she qualified at the Royal Veterinary College; she has recently completed a season working with the specialist reproductive veterinary surgeon Jonathan Pycock and will be a key member of our stud team. Kayleigh lives in Henley-on-Thames and will cover south and western areas.

Eadaoin McLoughlin DVM MRCVS

Eadaoin joined the team in March 2011, Eadaoin was raised in Carrick-On-Shannon, Co. Roscommon, Ireland where she comes from a family of show jumpers and was a member of the Irish International Show Jumping Pony Team. Eadaoin has developed a special interest in performance horses and manages the inpatients at our hospital.  She lives in Amersham and covers our central area.

Before joining our team kevin worked in many of the top studs in ireland,so most days you will see  Kevin working along side our Stud medicine team.Kevin is also a skilled equine dentist having undertaken additional training at the American School of Equine Dentistry.

Rebecca Terry BSc (Hons) BVSc (Hons) MRCVS

Rebecca joined us in September 2008. She is a graduate of the University of Bristol Veterinary college. Previously she worked in the Equine Hospital, New Bolton Centre, University of Pennsylvania where she developed a specialist interest in equine medicine and anaesthesia. Rebecca is currently undertaking her phD at the Royal Veterinary College, London but continues to work as part of our emergency services.

John Parker VetMB, FRCVS

John retired as senior partner in his own practice in 1995 after 32 years, but continues to practice as a consultant to the Chiltern Equine Clinic. John has been president of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA).  He is regularly invited to lecture by BEVA on the subjects of Vetting For Purchase and Equine Ophthalmology.  John was awarded his fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in his specialist subject of Equine Ophthalmology.  John regularly attends our clinic to provide referral services in ophthalmology.  In addition John undertakes official hight measurements (JMB) at his own farm near Princes Risborough.

Ian Wright MA VetMB, DEO, DipECVS, MRCVS

Ian obtained the Diploma in Equine Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1991 and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery in 1993. He has been recognised by the RCVS as a specialist in equine surgery since 1992. Ian regularly attends out clinic to perform specialist surgical procedures.

Justin Perkins BVetMed, DipECVS, MRCVS

Justin graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and then performed his surgical residency at the University of Edinburgh. After working as a surgeon at Auburn University, USA and University College Dublin, Ireland, he returned to the Royal Veterinary College 4 years ago. He is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and specialises in equine soft tissue surgery.

Tim Brazil BVSc, PhD, CertEM, DECEIM, MRCVS

Tim qualified from Liverpool University in 1988. He has divided his career between clinical equine medicine and respiratory disease in university teaching hospitals and private equine practices. He holds a RCVS Certificate and a European Specialist Diploma in Equine Internal Medicine. He regularly visits Chiltern Equine Clinic to provide specialist input to interesting and challenging medical cases.

Ariane Neuber DrMedVet CertVD DipECVD MRCVS, RCVS & European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology.

Ariane has been providing specialist services in equine dermatology and allergy testing since 2006.  She completed her veterinary training at the University of Munich before working in practice.  Moving on to an internship at the Animal Health Trust and completing a residency at the R(D)SVS in Edinburgh Ariane passed her RCVS Certificate in Dermatology in 2002.  She then went on to achieve her European Diploma in 2005 and then became a RCVS recognised dermatology specialist in 2008.  Ariane is currently the president of the BVDSG and Chief Examiner for the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology. 

Caroline Whittle BVSc MRCVS MNFSH

Caroline graduated from Liverpool University in 1994 and has always worked in equine practice including a period with the Chiltern Equine Clinic. Over the years Caroline developed a passion for holistic veterinary care and a particular interest in the treatment of orthopaedic disorders, soft tissue injuries, allergies, headshaking and immune deficiencies with acupuncture.  She now runs Equilibrium Veterinary Acupuncture and regularly treats Chiltern Equine Clinic patients.
