Surgical Farriery

In addition to working alongside your yard farrier in cases where surgical farriery is required we also provide our hospital farriery service.  Billy Crothers, five times World Champion and a Worshipful Company of Farriers Judge, regularly attends the Chiltern Equine Clinic to address surgical farriery problems with the support of radiographic facilities and veterinary advice.

Tracy Crook

Physiotherapy

Tracy qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1983 and later obtained an MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC).
She worked at the Royal Veterinary College as the Course Director for the MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from 2002-2011 where she was instrumental in the training of the majority of qualified Veterinary Physiotherapists in the UK and abroad.
Tracy is currently completing her PhD in Equine Biomechanics and combines her knowledge of the biomechanics of locomotion with 20 years of physiotherapy experience to treat and rehabilitate the horse, rider and companion animal.

Advanced Dentistry

In addition to offering a comprehensive ambulatory dental service Chiltern Equine Clinicians may refer cases in to our Equine Hospital.  Dental examinations and treatments are then undertaken in our dedicated dental suite equipped with stocks. High definition digital images of the dental arcades are used in conjunction with intra oral endoscopy to identify defects.  Advanced Dentistry is performed by Lucy Smith a member of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians and approved by DEFRA and the British Equine Veterinary Association.

Lee Harris - ITEC Diploma, Remedial & Sports Massage Diploma, Equine Massage Awareness Graduate, Member Of The Association Of Physical & Natural Therapists, Member Of The British Complimentary Medicine Association.Lee comes from an experienced equestrian family. This led him to study for the ITEC Human massage, anatomy and physiology qualification.  Further to this he studied Equine Sports Massage in 2005 with the world renowned Jean-Pierre Hourdebaight in Florida USA.
Since that time he has pursued his continual professional development, and to that end has furthered his studies in Remedial and Sports Injuries Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and recently Equine & Human Low Level Laser Therapy. www.equetouch.co.uk

Hannah Sheehan BSc Hons Ost D.O. Member of the I.A.A.T

Hannah qualified from the European School of Osteopathy in 1998 and has been working in the veterinary field ever since. In 1999 she completed a post graduate course in animal osteopathy from the Osteopathic Centre for Animals. Hannah performs osteopathy within our clinic and in her own ambulatory practice.
