Alyn Thomas RVN - Head Nurse

Alyn joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in 2010 as a junior nursing technician. Alyn previously worked as a working pupil at Wellington Riding where he gained his BHS Stage 2. Following that he then progressed onto undertaking a role as an international showjumping groom. On a day to day basis Alyn works closely with Sarah and the other vets ensuring they have everything they require for each procedure and assisting them accordingly. Alyn gained his BTEC Equine Nursing Technician qualification in 2015 and completed his RCVS Equine Veterinary Nursing (RVN) qualification in 2019.

Paige Malkin RVN

Paige joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in August 2014 after spending 6 months travelling in South America. Prior to travelling, Paige was at university gaining her qualification BSc Equine Management and Science which she completed in June 2012. Whilst studying Paige was also head groom at a well-established livery yard. Since joining us she has become a valued asset to the nursing team and completed her RCVS Equine Veterinary Nursing (RVN) Qualification in 2021.

Rosie Fogarty RVN

Rosie joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in 2015. Prior to joining, Rosie completed a National Diploma in Horse Management. She has previously worked in many parts of the equine industry and gained a vast amount of experience over the years. Rosie works closely with the vets and nurses ensuring that all horses receive the best standard of care. Rosie is our senior theatre nurse at the Blueberry Farm Hospital and runs the MRI unit. Rosie completed her RCVS Equine Veterinary Nurse qualification in 2022.

Sophie Lawes RVN

Sophie originally joined CEC in 2010 as a student veterinary nurse. Sophie qualified in 2013 and remained working with the practice based in the Hospital until 2018. Sophie had a keen interest in travelling and spent the next couple of years travelling the world, volunteering for veterinary charities and working in a large equine hospital in Australia. On her return to the UK in 2020, Sophie settled in Newmarket where she worked at Rossdales Equine Hospital for the foal season before joining the permanent team in the main Hospital. After starting a family Sophie returned to Berkshire and joined Chiltern Equine Clinic once more. Sophie works with both the clinical and non-clinical teams at the Blueberry Farm Hospital.
