Kylie joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in July 2003 as a groom and had the busy task of maintaining the yard on a day to day basis. Over the years Kylie gained a high level of experience and qualifications and now has the demanding but rewarding role of Head Nurse and manages our team of nurses at all of our branches to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Kylie also qualified as a Defra AI technician in 2007 and is a great addition to our stud team. She gained her Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) Qualification in 2013 and her level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing in 2014.
Alyn joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in 2010 as a junior nursing technician. Alyn previously worked as a working pupil at Wellington Riding where he gained his BHS Stage 2. Following that he then progressed onto undertaking a role as an international showjumping groom. On a day to day basis Alyn works closely with Sarah and the other vets ensuring they have everything they require for each procedure and assisting them accordingly. Alyn gained his BTEC Equine Nursing Technician qualification in 2015 and completed his RCVS Equine Veterinary Nursing (RVN) qualification in 2019.
Sophie joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in 2010 as an Equine Nursing Technician. Prior to joining, Sophie completed her National Diploma in Horse Management gaining a Distinction grade. Sophie was awarded her Level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing in October 2013 and works from our Blueberry Farm Hospital. Sophie is in charge of the in house laboratory, MRI and assists the veterinary surgeons in the hospital and on ambulatory calls. Sophie has also completed a course in laser protection and is now our practice laser protection supervisor (LPS). Sophie has undertaken an MRI training programme to perform MRI scans on horse's and produce high quality diagnostic images.
Lauren Joined Chiltern Equine Clinic in 2007 after 10 years working in small animal practice. Lauren is a Qualified Equine and Small Animal Veterinary Nurse and gained her BTEC Nursing Technician qualification in 2011. She has the busy role of surgical nurse at our Blueberry Farm Hospital, ensuring the team provide the best care and service to our patients and clients. Lauren is our Head Nurse at Blueberry farm, working with our team of nurses to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Lauren has undertaken an MRI training programme allowing her to safely operate our new MRI machine at Blueberry farm.
